baldwin_2014_3-301x435My life, love, and passion is dogs. All my life I have loved and lived for dogs, to understand them and live with them in a peaceful balanced life. I attended and graduated from Star Mark Dog Academy in 2006 with a Certificate in Dog Training and Behavior.

I have been around or training dogs for close to 20 years, with my first passion in dog sledding. I started dog sledding when I was 9 and am still running and racing to this day. I love to compete with my dogs, as I believe that the bond formed when working as a team is one of the best things a person can do with their dog and for themselves. I also love to help others understand the communication process between dogs and humans so they can benefit from all of the positive that comes when we learn to better understand one another.

My early adventures with dogs led me to Alaska for the Jr. Iditarod in 2003. This was a 172 mile race from Wasilla to Yetna Station and back. Me and my team are still the first and only team from the state of Michigan to complete and finish the Jr. Iditarod. Most amazingly, I had also trained and bred my entire team of ten dogs. Today, I am very active in Disc Dog Free Style, Dock Diving, Dog sledding, and Agility. In December of 2013, I published her first book on dog training titled: They Talk, We Listen a guide to training your K9 companion. My second book Puppy Basics 101 is expected out in late July, 2014. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing you and your dog out on a field as one!
